1 LOCALLY OWNED
Local ownership matters more than local presence. A national chain with a Seal Beach storefront isn't a local business because the profits flow to corporate. A Long Beach-owned business with two locations serving Belmont Shore to Sunset Beach residents, is local. We follow the ownership and who they serve, not just the address.
2 POSITIVE GOOGLE REVIEWS
Your reputation matters. We look at what your customers say about you. It's not just about the star average, but the substance in those reviews. Businesses with consistent positive feedback and the willingness to respond to criticism honestly are the kind we list. We also talk to residents if you don't have any current reviews.
